Stringing Schedules
Claviers Baroques has made a number of these delightful little clavichords. Mme van Ree Bernard's original schedule for the double-strung version was somewhat different and used overwound wire in the bass. When we made a run of these instruments in 2001-2002 for student use we used single-stringing and changed the schedule to support modern pitch. We used the stiffer red brass for the very lowest C.

*strings, keys and jacks are traditionally counted from the left (lowest note), although stringing schedules traditionally list wire from the highest note to the lowest, probably because most builders string the treble first. It is confusing, I know; sorry.
