CLAVIERS BAROQUES -- Library of Stringing Schedules
Albarda spinet and similar
Stringing schedule for a spinet by Jan Albarda (Ontario) 1972 after typical late 17th century English bentside spinets such as Player, Haworth, Cawton Aston and similar. This instrument, numbered 721, was built as a personal instrument for Dr. Albarda's daughter Karen 'who started it all'.
Normal pitch is A=440, modern pitch, but it can be tuned to baroque (A=415) or anywhere in between. We recommend starting the change at least a week before you need it to ensure that it will be stable for your performance or recording. |
